Klein, Texas—Klein ISD students and educators once again earned strong academic gains in the latest Texas Education Agency (TEA) accountability results.
2026 Ratings Mark 4th Consecutive Year of Academic Gains in Klein ISD
The 2026 results showcase continued momentum across Klein ISD. A record number of Klein ISD schools are reaching the highest levels of performance, and the district outperformed the region and state in meeting grade-level expectations in all tested subjects.
Klein ISD’s 2026 overall accountability rating of an 88 marks the district’s fourth consecutive year of growth since the state education agency reset its accountability system with more rigorous standards in 2023. The district’s overall rating has increased 8 points from 80 in 2023 to 88 in 2026.
Additionally, Klein ISD’s overall performance increased in student achievement, academic growth, and relative performance. This continued progress reflects the impact of consistent instructional priorities, challenging and engaging curriculum, and educators who remain focused on helping every student grow and succeed.
“These results are something our entire Klein Family can celebrate,” said Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown. “They reflect meaningful academic growth and the incredible determination of the people behind our year-over-year gains. I could not be more proud of what our dedicated educators and support staff, engaged families, and hardworking students continue to achieve by working together.”
4 Out of 5 High Schools Earn Overall ‘A’ Rating, Klein Forest Rises 8 Points to 89
The 2026 accountability ratings highlight significant improvement and consistency across Klein ISD high schools, with each showing increased performance ratings.
Every Klein ISD high school improved its overall score, with 4 out of the 5 schools earning an overall ‘A’ rating. Klein Forest made one of the district’s most substantial gains with 8 points to earn an 89.
Klein High: A-rated, rising from 92 (2025) to 94 (2026)
Klein Cain: A-rated, rising from 87 (2025) to 93 (2026)
Klein Collins: A-rated, rising from 88 (2025) to 93 (2026)
Klein Forest: B-rated, rising from 81 (2025) to 89 (2026)
Klein Oak: A-rated, rising from 90 (2025) to 94 (2026)
Straight ‘A’s for College, Career, and Military Readiness
All five comprehensive high schools earned an ‘A’ in College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR). The results reflect the district’s commitment to ensuring that students graduate with the knowledge, skills, and experiences they need to pursue their goals and purpose beyond graduation.
Increased accountability ratings throughout the district, including gains at all five high schools, reflect Klein ISD's continued focus on academic growth and preparing every student for success beyond graduation.
